Consistency….Is the name of the game!!!

MoonSwing
It doesn’t matter what subject we talk about, the formula doesn’t change…. Doing anything once is great, especially if it’s something that we feel inspired or good about doing, but I don’t think too many people would disagree with the fact that if we’re wanting to see any real longterm change in our lives, consistency of thought and action is usually required!!!

Even though many of us know this, why do we often find it difficult to keep our consistency of action up???
The answer always comes down to similar reasons. If we haven’t taken the time to move our thought into a positive good feeling vibrational place before we take any physical action, we often don’t have the inspiration required to continue on with what we’re wanting to do. And sometimes even when we have taken some time to improve and work on our vibration before taking action, we may still find our enthusiasm wavering, especially if it’s become hard work and we’re not achieving the results we’re wanting.
In the beginning, being strongly focused on the end result we’re wanting in a positive way can help us, but as we keep going, if we start making negative judgements because we haven’t achieved exactly what we were wanting in our desired time limit, this starts to make what we’re doing difficult and can send us in an unwanted direction again. I don’t believe many people have a lack of wanting, everyone wants what they want, but sometimes when we’ve tried many times without success, it becomes painful to keep trying and continue to not achieve what we’re wanting, so it feels better not to try, sometimes it feels better to give-up.
But this too is a bitter pill to take because deep down we know there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to achieve what it is we’re wanting….So even though, at the time giving-up may be a better feeling place than failure, we will rarely find any lasting happiness in this emotional place, and fortunately most that find themselves here, will eventually gain the strength to raise their vibration into a better place where they can again start receiving positive ideas.

If we’re receiving good ideas, especially if they’re coming from within us through our own though process, this is a good indication we’ve been somewhat in a good general vibrational place otherwise we wouldn’t be receiving them. The better feeling place we’ve generally been in, the more inspired our thoughts are, and the more likely we are to take action on them, especially if we’ve fostered an attitude of belief in ourselves and our ability.

When an idea comes we may want to act on, the best possible thing we can do is to give it as much positive thought as we can. This is very different from looking at the “pros and cons” of a situation as many people often do at this time. If we do put a lot of focus and attention on all the things that could possibly go wrong and what may not work, this usually has the effect of instantly killing our ideas, for now we are emitting a vibration that may be primarily made up of thoughts and feelings on everything unwanted that could happen, and not many people will take any action from this not good feeling, non-believeing, vibrational place because it’s too hard and doesn’t usually produce good results unless we make an effort to greatly improve our thought as we go, which is possible, but it’s much easier if we start in a good vibrational place to begin with.

As we focus over time on all the positives in relation to our ideas, power and momentum of positive thought is maintained and improved, and as the Law of Attraction responds to the dominant vibrational signal we’re emitting, any action taken from this place is truly inspired and reaps much better results. This is exactly whats going on when we talk to one who explains their “work” not as work, but mostly as a joyful endeavour they get paid to do!!!

Of course resistant circumstances will still turn up, even when we’ve taken action from an inspired good feeling place that has positive power and momentum behind it, but from this strong vibrational place, obstacles are easily overcome and are more of a propeller into even better, fuller, more wanted circumstances!!!

And so it is….

Question from Master Eight…. Is it better to listen to other people?

AngelLuke
This is a conversation between me and my eight-year-old son that I recorded and then typed out for this post.
If you’re wondering why it’s because he often asks me the most amazing questions that we’ll have a long conversation about. The last question he had was a few days ago, and at the end of it I said: “I’ve got an awesome idea, we should try recording our conversations and I’ll make a post out of them!” He thought that was a cool idea, so this is a conversation we had today!

For ease of reading, I have edited unnecessary content and very personal circumstances related to the subject we’ve been talking about but feel it’s a truthful representation, most being word for word, of our conversation.

Master Eight-M8, is in Italics.

So what’s your question again Darling?

M8-Is it better to listen to other people?

Compared to what?

M8-Uhm…Uhm…

Compared to what you want to do?

M8-Yes.

So what made you want to know that?

M8-Because I just wanted to know if people should listen to others.

So you want to know if you should listen to other people?

M8-Yes.

Like what other people?

M8-Like you and Daddy, people like that…

So you mean just Mummy and Daddy, not other people, because do you usually listen to other people?

M8-Uhm…uhm…no.

Ok, who would be the other people in your life apart from Mummy and Daddy that you would listen too?

M8-Arghh…Uhm…My teacher at school.

Anyone else….or are you only talking about people you know well?

M8-Yer, not just like people you don’t know that are strangers because if people say things to me and it’s someone I don’t know, I don’t say anything and I just don’t listen to them.

That’s a good idea, it’s not good to listen to people you don’t know.

Do you think it’s a good idea to listen to Mummy and Daddy and your teacher at school?

M8-Yes.

Why do you think it’s a good idea?

M8-Well, sometimes if I don’t listen to you guys I might not get to do other things I want to do.

Ok, is that the only reason you listen because you don’t want the negative consequences?

M8-Yes.

Are you sure that’s the only reason you listen, because you don’t want something unwanted to happen?

M8-Yes.

So…Uhm…

M8-Well, sometimes I listen to you when I’m playing my game when you call me for lunch or dinner and I don’t just ignore you because I’m hungry.

Hehehe…

Well, I think it’s a little bit sad the only reason you listen is because you want to be able to play your game, is that the only reason you listen?

M8-No.

Well, what other reasons are there?

M8-Arghh…because…I’m thinking…I’m thinking…I’m thinking…

Well my question to you is, are you only listening to us to avoid not being able to have something you want?

M8-Well sometimes I get in trouble if I don’t listen to you guys.

Yes, but…

M8-And I don’t like getting in trouble…

Like what sort of trouble?

M8-Like if I am mean I get told off or I have to go away for a bit.

But aren’t you sometimes listening because it feels good to listen?

M8-Yes, it does sometimes.

But you don’t listen to us all the time though do you, so if we asked you to do something but it strongly goes against what you want to do you don’t always listen, which is okay I’m just saying you’re not only listening to us blindly without any regard to how you’re feeling.

M8-Yes.

Would it be true to say you’re making a choice to listen based on, will it feel better to listen and do this or will it feel better not to listen and do that.
And doesn’t the decision you make depend on the possible consequences you think may happen, and how much you do or don’t want to do something, but it’s still a choice that you make after weighing up all the pros and cons of the situation.

So would it be fair to say you’re making your decisions based on what feels best and what you feel will get you the closest to what you are wanting and sometimes that’s listening to Mum and Dad and sometimes it isn’t

M8-Yes.

That’s all you can do, that’s what everyone does, from where ever we are now, we’re all choosing what we feel is the best option for us, the choice we feel will hopefully produce the best outcome.

Of course, I’m Mum so I would always say it’s a good idea to listen to your Awesome Mummy wouldn’t I!! Hehehe

M8-And Awesome Daddy!! Hehehe

Yes, and at the end of the day, you’re always guided by yourself. Sometimes it’s good to listen, and sometimes it isn’t, I can’t say you should always or exclusively listen to anyone because you have to listen to yourself. Only you know what feels best for you, don’t you think Darling?

M8-Yes.

And so it is….

Do you think setting goals will get you where you’re wanting???

SaharaPopOut
A goal set with positive focus and expectations is halfway to being achieved.        Paulette De-Har

That’s a very interesting question, isn’t it?
And the answer depends on where you are coming from. For example, if you make goals for yourself and feel good about them, believing you will be able to achieve them, that is definitely a goal worth setting and you will be well on your way to achieving it as long as you stay focused in a positive manner. So what happens when we make a goal and feel good about it to start with, but then do not follow through with positive thoughts. If we do not maintain our belief and positive thought regarding the goals we make, it’s very unlikely that we’ll achieve them.

This often happens when looking at the pros and cons of any situation, what we’re really doing is including negative thoughts into our vibrational (emotional) mix, meaning, depending on whether you’ve focused more on positives or negatives, this will determine how things will unfold in reality. Of course it’s very normal to look at all possibilities when we’re trying to move forward in our lives, but if we focus intently on everything we think could possibly go wrong and may prevent us from reaching our goals, more than how everything may work out well, this will be the strongest vibration within us, and the Law of Attraction ensures we’ll receive back that which we have vibrationally given out.

There is no such thing as NO in this attraction based Universe that we all live in. For example, when we say yes to something, it’s included as a possible future manifestation, and when we say no to something, it’s also included as a possible future manifestation. Saying yes with positive focus attracts wanted circumstances, whereas saying no with negative focus is attracting unwanted circumstances. A positive focus on any goal that’s maintained over time with emotional intensity must eventually bring that which we’re wanting, whereas maintaining negative focus over time with emotional intensity must eventually bring that which we’re not wanting.

This is often a consequence of doubting our ability to create what we are wanting or we may not see a path that will get us where we are wanting to go, so we give up. I am not judging anyone for giving up on their goal, if it feels like the best thing to do, it’s not for me to say that you shouldn’t, but I will say, the fact that a goal is set in the first place, means we were wanting to achieve it, and with positive focus there’s no reason why we can’t.

Why do we doubt our ability to achieve our goals?
We may have experienced circumstances in the past that have not worked out how we were wanting despite taking many actions and being very determined which eventually, over time, erodes our belief in ourselves and our ability to achieve what we desire.

In reality, there is always a mixture of positive and negative thoughts regarding any subject or goal that we hold, but there will be a more dominant vibrational feeling about it and that’s always what’s manifesting.
So yes, setting goals can definitely get us where are we wanting to go when we do our best to stay positively focused, working through any resistant, challenging circumstances that arise by;
1. Being aware of how we’re feeling regarding anything we give attention too.
2. Once we know how we’re feeling, doing our best to move to a better feeling place, especially if we’re in a negative vibrational place.
3. Doing our best to enjoy whatever is happening now by relaxing and not being too hard on ourselves.
4. Holding strong to the belief that things really are working out, even if it doesn’t currently look like it, and yes, that’s something that requires practice, but we’ve all come forward with the ability to do this if that’s what we’re wanting.

And so our journey continues….
